What professions do you have, what level are they and why did you choose them?

Mining-Jewelcrafting, basic combo which fits a tank.

What is your spec and why did you choose this particular build?

Blood MS, Roiling Blood allows good control of AoE DoTs, which I can change for Plague Leech for single target focused fights. Purgatory, because tanks needs to stay alive, rather than provide AMZ, but then again - fights differ. Runic Corruption - just giving it a try after long time with Runic Empowerment, so far don't see much practical difference. Relentless Winter, while not as tank-oriented as AoE grip - has helped me countless times as survival CD.

How do you prioritize your gear choices (hit/agi/dmg/etc)?

7%+ hit\exp if possible, tank damage is also damage>Mastery>=Stamina>Avoidance. Mastery is priceless for BDKs, although in 5.4 I see a tendency towards stamina being ilvl-factor, and with huge mastery - it's often easy to reach max Blood Shield with low hp, so a compromise must be achieved with available gear.

Explain the purpose for your secondary spec (for example: PVP, Arena, soloing/questing). Do you have a full set of gear for your secondary spec?

I choose Frost over Unholy - because it is easy in application. Howling Blast alone has whole style designed on it, and does both burst, AoE burst and DoT application. Unholy may be more stable, but it's just a pain to play, when you can not apply dots conveniently. I am rather unskilled in any spec, despite playing DK for almost 3 years. With gear\buffs and focus I can push some numbers, but I would never expect anything comparable to actual DPS roles.

Would you re-spec for the raid?

No, this character is applied as Blood, and I do not see interest in progressing with spec that I do not enjoy playing(Frost\UH).

Please explain any problems with your current gear (missing or incorrect gems/enchants, incorrectly itemized gear, etc).

I returned to WoW about a week ago after leaving on May 1st, patch 5.2 with 524-ish ilvl, which I now raised to 529. I missed the transition from 5.2 to 5.4, with heroic+ilvl upgrades of 5.3 that could turn your ilvl 535-545 pre-5.4, and now am forced to either farm Flexible or search for guild with low requirements(and that does not raid high-normal, as nobody would want to carry a new person). Seeing HWC as 4\14 with DK recruitment(unless outdated) - I thought I could try to apply.

What is your name? And where are you from?

Artem, Russia

What is your age in real life?

21

What interests do you have/activities do you like to do outside of WoW?

Nothing worth mentioning, really. Aquariums, fish industry in a manner, but it's not something most people would be interested in.

What sort of internet connection do you have? Do you have problems with lag, low ping, or random disconnects in raids?

Not that I know of on general basis.

Do you have TS3 installed? Do you own a mic? Can you talk without horrible feedback? And will you talk if communication is necessary?

Yes, although I am so sure about my mic. I could communicate with people recently, so I should be able to talk in raid, but not that I woul be an active speaker. Not that kind of person, and not such fluent knowledge of English.

What is your previous guild history, and why did you leave those guilds?May we contact your prior guild(s) as reference?

My previous guilds on TN are Eternal Legacy(disbanded), guildmaster Sublike, currently in Apex. Strife, team disbanded, guildmaster Sapphirex, transferred to Sylvanas(although he still has alts in Strife). You can contact either of them for their opinion about my tanking.

What is the approximate length of time you’ve been playing WoW?

Official - since 2010, late WotLK. Private servers, general accustomization to the game was since 2005.

What is your previous raiding experience, if any?

11\12hc in late WotLK, Halion 25N. 2\11hc T11(was on Vek'nilash, dying realm), 2\7hc FL(with later Ragnaros kill in 4.3), 13\13hc DS, late 4.3 in Eternal Legacy. 10\16hc t14(EL+Strife), 2\13hc t15(Strife disbanded). 9\14 Flex SoO.

Why do you want to raid? What makes you enjoy your class and role in a raid?

Ability to react to the damage, to heal myself, to play as tank not in the style of mitigator, but self-healer. I do not blame healers, I can only blame myself for missed DS. No other tanking class provides that feeling.

What is your favorite raiding encounter? And what is the best wipe you've ever caused?

I think LK was the grand memory. Ragnaros was more of rushed progress to get legal title. As for the wipes... I've wiped my guilds so many times that I can hardly remember the best wipe ever.

How do you typically prepare for bosses you haven't encountered before? And can you handle constructive criticism?

Least I could do is digest Dungeon Journal. This is what I do when I know that the guild is not carrying me and will wipe by itself before people learn anything. As I am not an officer, I do not take responsibility to study content by heart without being able to properly apply that knowledge. That does not mean, however, that if there is indeed a situation where my actions would be pivotal to the success, and others wouldn't slow down progress - I can watch certain killvids\guides and read suggested DK tactics on EJ. Still - nothing will give as much knowledge as a few wipes firsthand, at least for me. That is why I have little incentive to push myself before feeling the fight. If anything, I'd rather wipe and then find out what I can improve, then overload myself with tactics I can hardly perform on spot(and that does not mean LFR-oriented basics).

Please include a link to a screen shot of your in-raid UI (if you cannot then provide a link to your UI while in Alterac Valley). Use http://imageshack.us/ or http://tinypic.com/ to provide your screenshot.

http://tinypic.com/r/1zwg3fq/5 Keybins are outdated, this is one of the SS I took when I was changing my UI after I returned. However, the style is the same.

Please provide us with a Link to a log (like WOL). If you dont alredy have one, go make one at: http://www.worldoflogs.com/

I really, really never bothered with "tanking" logs. Unless that is strictly required, I would rather have this omitted. Whether this helps or not, you can check "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm4rWU74M1M" and Council of Elders for some videos of early ToT progress in Strife with my healing stats\performance being visible. Ignore the comment on Horridon video, was a joke between me and Sapphirex.

Tell/show the best joke or video you have ever seen or heard!

Seriously? I am a douchy kind of person regarding jokes, so the easiest thing that could come to my mink to answer a random question would be Onyxia Wipe Animation.

Do you have any friends or family inside of HWC?

No.

Do you agree to the guild rules?

Absolutely, although I've come down from aspiring raider to casual, and do not plan to return any time soon. I can perform the requirements of guild rules, as long as they fit the casual logic of courtesy and progress. I won't, however, push myself alone, as I said above.

Oh, after more thorough review of the guild, it seems it was too good to be true. You are disbanded, right?
